Asphalt Plant Operator – Plant Maintenance


Job description

  • Full-Time position
  • Must be able to work Day Shift and/or Night Shift
  • Perform; plant maintenance, plant cleanup, operate heavy equipment, and follow all site health and safety regulations
  • Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform task of operating and maintaining the asphalt plant and mobile equipment
  • Perform walk-around and site inspections for all plant components
  • Follow orders given by supervisor and complete task in a timely manor 
  • Be proficient with hand tools and power tools
  • Perform basic fabrication with an arc welder and a cutting torch
  • Works as a team to troubleshoot and problem solve plant issues with co-workers and supervisors
  • Perform cleaning task of the plant site and control house

Quarry Laborer – Plant Maintenance (Night Shift)


Job description

You will be responsible for assisting with plant maintenance, plant cleanup, and following all site health and safety regulations. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plant Cleanup with a shovel, water hose, and skid loader
  • Assist with preventative maintenance of pulleys, bearings, gearboxes, idlers, belting, etc.
  • Assist with repair work on wear plates, rock shoots, belt splicing, changing idlers, changing bearings, etc.
  • Keep all travel ways clear from spillage for safe access of all personnel.
  • Clean up spillage around conveyors/crushers to keep crushing plants in production.
  • Safely operate a variety of tools and equipment including walk behind loaders, skid loaders, power washer, hammer drill, and grinders.
  • Ensure buildings and job sites are orderly with the tools and parts cleaned and stored properly.
  • Complete all task in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate with the plant operators on issues that you spot throughout the day.
  • Complete other duties as needed.

Quarry Laborer – Heavy Mechanic (Day Shift)

Perform maintenance on heavy mining and construction equipment at a variety of surface and underground mining locations. Work will be both in-field and shop environment. Assess equipment failure, determine cause and make necessary repairs.

Experience in quarry heavy equipment mechanic position is required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and other equipment.
  • Identify equipment operational problems and causes of breakdowns and make repairs.
  • Perform and document mobile equipment inspections.
  • Utilize a computer and related software for creating work requests, tracking time, and ordering parts
  • Work and coordinate with supervisors and other employees to strive for continuous improvement, safety, and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Formal training through vocational/technical education or experience with a former employer.
  • Must successfully demonstrate written and practical skills as determined by testing and/or observations.
  • Work on a MSHA regulated site preferred but not required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Equipment Manager to join our team in Maryland Heights, MO. This role is crucial in ensuring our mobile equipment fleet operates efficiently and effectively, supporting our operations and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the mobile equipment fleet used in aggregates mining and asphalt production.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
  • Manage a team of technicians and support staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate repairs and servicing with external vendors and suppliers as necessary.
  • Monitor and track equipment usage, performance, and maintenance costs to optimize equipment lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare and manage the mobile equipment budget, including forecasting and procurement strategies.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in equipment management, maintenance, or operations within the construction or materials industry is required; a degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment management, maintenance, or operations within the construction or materials industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile equipment maintenance and repair processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using equipment management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
